Penalty Minutes
Anyone else think they're a tad bit on the low side this year? I think my PIM leader has 107...and concidering my team thats way lower then I expected. heck Chris Drury has only taken 1 minor the whole season

Yeah they are low, particularly relative to what happens in the NHL. Heading into next season we will probably be adjusting some of the settings in the sim now that we have a year under our belt. The major one is that goalies aren't getting fatigued like the should. The back-up role should be important in our league, and instead everyone can pretty much ride their #1 90% of the time.
So we'll make some adjustments for next year.

Yeah, fatigue overall and injuries. Doesn't seem like many teams have really had to contend with extended periods of injury trouble.

something else haha

As long as the fatigue for goalies is realistic. If Kipper actually played 75+ games in the NHL... hopefully that can be the same in the CPHL.

And taking a bit of a closer look, there are only 14 players injured (including DD) in the CPHL. In the NHL there are 78 guys on the IR or questionable (DD). That is a huge difference. Maybe with this sim we need to go back to using NHL injuries.

Yeah a few more CPHL injuries would be more realistic, but my AHL team had stretches where it was crazy. So I'd hate to see an increase in both leagues.

That's one of the tough things to manage - it's one setting across both leagues. So while we haven't had a ton of injuries in the top league - in the bottom league there has been a buttload. And if we bump it up - then it will get worse in the AHL.
Anyhoo it's all stuff for the off-season.

I've also found that some guys take forever to heal up once they are injured. I know that they are all rated individually, and I'm not complaining at all...just something that seems a little off kilter. Don't know if there is a setting that can change that however.

My team got nailed during the beginning of the year and had 4 of my top 6 out for over a month.
Wasn't doing too bad until I got bit by the injury bug.

Perhaps we could bump the durability for all the farm players up to say 75 or something so that way there won't be a ton of farm injuries.

I have been hit by the Injuy bug alot this year. having 2-3 up to 4 people on IR at a time for long periods of time. to me Injuries seemed to be alot worse than before.
Also seems DI for me atleast is wacky. I can go 4 days without playing but play 1 game and bam 1-4 players drop right away. I can see that if your playing alot of games but when when i wasnt it didnt seem to matter. Now for the Fleury that was not the case. other players the exact opposite.

I like injuries because it forces GM's to get creative and try things they otherwise wouldn't have with a healthy lineup. I had Gaborik out a LONG time but I managed and it gave me something to look forward too.

Yep me too, I have lost top dman, top forwards etc for a lengthy period of time.
Example of injuries
I lost Stempniak due to the Flu for 1 week... that is a weird injury. This one week will turn out to be closer to 2 1/2 weeks once he is back to 100%.
