Final Fantasy: Advent Children

Wow, don't know if any of you have heard of this, or been keeping track, but is just got released yesterday I believe. Regardless, I just d/led it, and thought it was very well done. NA DVD release is sometime in November I think, but I can't wait that long.

Decent enough animation for those who havn't played FF7 and just wanna see some nice fight scenes, but those who played through and loved FF7 will truly appreciate this.

Nice to see pretty much all the characters get some air time, albeit very small for most of them, fans of the Turks should be happy, as they get a suprising amount of screen-time, Reno and rude provide some pretty decent comedic relief.

All in all, pretty good, was it worth the hype..hard to say, as this thing was hyped up immenslely, but rest assured, for those who were dreading it would flop on the level of "Spirits within", don't be. Bunch of little little nods to the game, and some moments you can tell were truly meant to bring back fond memories of the game.

My buddy already downloaded it and ripped it on DVD. He says its one of the best movies he's ever seen, but then again, he's also an anime nut. Personally I'm not all that interested in seeing it even though I have played FFVII, but anyone who was enamoured with the game should probably see this movie.

FF-VII was the the only FF, I ever got into. That game is awsome, but I never passed it. It is still one of my goals in life to complete that game before I die.

What is Advent Children. I havn't seen much about it. Is it a movie based on FFVII?

I was watching it on my Treo650 the other day, I was kinda blah about it. I must say watching it on a big screen does this movie wonders.

Seriously the best CGI I've ever seen, makes you wonder why we still use real actors.

Yea, its a movie based around the game, it takes place like 2 years after the event of FF7, and includes pretty much the whole cast of characters.

I'd buy it, but I wrote Square-Enix and told 'em that I would buy another thing with the words "Final Fantasy" in it until they released FF3j. :P
