I hope that my stash is safe... that's part of the reason I like to fix things myself, and not take it in anywhere for "service."

Your stash is fine. Chuck in a new card, uniinstall your old vid card drivers, install the new one and your "banging" along in no time

should look into this.

Update:

had my bro over to put in a new card ( sooo cheap). Also put in more ram. Gd memory express making me want more shinny new parts!

Would not start up.

ntldr missing means that it is having trouble finding windows on your harddrive. make sure your harddrive is not disconnected or damaged. if th drive is working, then somehow your windows was corrupted and may need a repair installation or replacement files from that link posted above.

so my stash bit the bullet, but I am now running windows7 and enjoying (mostly) my old hardware. I gave up on the old ntldr file and just took my data (what little there is) from that drive.

new parts: 2gb ram, 40gb ssd, vid card.
old parts: second HD, optical drives, motherboard, processor, etc.

So it's like a brand new computer, without a brand new computer.

Still not sure if the PS is going to last... but that's easy to get a new one.

You will be putting your pron on the hard drive seperate from the windows drive from now on I bet.
