Wow, that was a beat down! On a similar note my team is pretty beat up and we will welcome the playoffs as a chance to heal up for next season!

Flyers do well to pull out a 3-1 win. The shots against was a tad high but we'll take it as long as we get the W.
Next up the Islanders.

My so called next of kin may have pulled the plug but I'm not dead yet
One more game against the Thrashers, keep the pressure on and hope for a miracle

Thats it I'm never submitting lines again. I think I'm like 5-0 when I don't, and the team always scores lights out.

Had to basically bench Datsyuk and Hossa in this game as they were on a 97 CD. It's questionable if they will play tomorrow vs Ottawa. I'd rather lose the division then have them get injured for awhile.

I have the same issue with Briere. I had to take him off the PP today but it didn't help. I am battling for a playoff spot so I really don't want to bench anyone.
Play them until they die!!!

Yep, keep them in the press box, I thought I seen Datsyuk limping around in the lobby.... you can't afford to lose him for the playoffs

I think you are focusing on the wrong team to catch. You have 5 games left and have 92 points. So the max you can hit if you go 5-0 is 102. I have 98 points and have 7 games left. 2-5 would get me to 102. Pittsburgh is the team you have a better chance of catching. You have a game in hand on them and are 7 back.

You must think you're special getting all this attention
I had two of my next four was with you, of course I would focus my sights in that general direction. I don't play the Penguins... why focus my attention on a team I have zero control with.
I have now two of a possible four points, after our second game I don't care what the Thrashers do the rest of the season

realistic about what...
Go ahead don't play Datsyuk and Hossa against me. But realistically speaking to have the Thrashers finish off the season 2-5 isn't that big of a stretch from their 3-6 current streak... realistically speaking they would be the team to focus on since the are indeed the struggling team out of the 6th, 7th and 8th.
Do I think the Thrashers will make the playoffs.. yes
Am I focusing on them to replace them in the standings.. no
Should I fold up my tent and pull the plug just because it's not realistic.... I never have nor I ever will

Did what had to be done, beating the Avalanche 4-2. Magic number for the clinched playoff spot is now 4!

Plus you're both Divisional, I'm so use to having different divisional opponents and this season has been pretty much been off because of it... I'm so use to chasing and matchup up against different GM's
For the first time this year, I'm enjoying the Southeast division. I wasn't able to keep up with you and Hesla when you both pulled away but up till then it was a three horse race for the division title with the two losers maybe not even making the playoffs
I'm the guy on the outside looking in, so I'm going to be the one throwing and taking the punches to set it up for next year. Now I just need to drag Drew and Matt into this and we're set
