West Virginia deserved the 4th #1 seed IMO.

Duke won the ACC regular season title and tournament title with relative ease, played a solid out of conference schedule and had a better record.
West Virginia needed a lucky shot to win their tournament, played one good game out of conference and didn't win their regular season title.
I know everyone thought the Big East was great but I don't see what WV did to show that they deserved anything more than Duke.

This year there is so much mediocrity the "toughness" of the brackets is overrated. Way too many teams that are good one day, tough another.
Georgetown was supposed to be a reason that the Midwest was tough and they were garbage.

THis is true.,
But, no one should kid themselves about UNI. That's a damn good basketball team.
Faroukmanesh is unbelievable.
With KU gone, UNI is perfectly capable of getting to the Final Four.

Can anyone explain to me why they are holding West sub regionals in Buffalo New York, and South ones in Spokane? Whats next Mid West Regionals from Mobile Alabama?

It's stupid. Don't know when they changed it. It used to be that being ceded highly in your home region was a reward. Now it is meaningless because very few teams have tough travel.
I think it ruins the sub-regional experience for fans too. They watch games that don't have any bearing on one another whatsoever. What's the fun in that?

The first sites have nothing to do with the geographical name given to the section of the bracket

Gonzaga is playing awful, can't shoot, can't pass. Just a mess at the moment.

True but I find that weird and a little unfair. For example, why does #6 Marquetee have to travel to San Jose to play #11 Washington in an 'East' regional?

Yeah but it's hard to win when they give up 13 threes
I think Syracuse's Andy Rautins can hit a three from the moon.

Zags started out okay, but you could see that Syracuse was making it tough for them to score with each possession and eventually they just couldn't get anything going whereas Syracuse got it going.

There games from more than one bracket at each first round host site, the geographic name only applies to the sweet 16 and elite 8.

Well if my bracket wasn't busted already, it sure is now with the Jayhawks out. I'm just getting bent over in the CP league haha. Didn't do my homework at all this year when I made my bracket and it shows.

Crazy. Maryland fights all the way back to get the lead but MSU hits a 3 to book their ticket to the Sweet 16. I love this tourney!

That was awesome! Who needs a bunch of timeouts at the end of a game, they went up and down the last 30 seconds.
That being said, I think every buzzer-beater has gone against my bracket

I'm in Spokane this weekend for the games. Tough to ask for anything more than the two games today with MSU and Purdue winning in the last few seconds.
I was looking forward to a Cal vs. Self rematch but seeing Kansas lose in the 2nd round is probably just as awesome. I thought that would just be like the UNC/LSU game last year, where the tournament favourite went down early but then snapped out of it and then did very well the rest of the tournament. Obviously I was wrong.

MSU made that way too close for my health. Man I wish I was back in East Lansing today, although that would also be terrible for my health.
