It's small and in the bottom, right quadrant of the flower sitting on the white petals. Look for the dark spots that are the spider's eyes.

Cool, so I just read about the crab spider, the one in my pic, and apparently some of them can change colour. Very sweet man.

In what natural habitat does that color benefit the tarantula??

The ones in my yard haven't figured out how to do purple. Actually they can only change between white and yellow. Nevertheless, they are very effective predators - this individual caught at least 5 bees last summer.
Also - Whipscorpion FTW! (harmless, but I don't think I'd appreciate one on my head).

When I was in Hawaii on the main island two Christmases ago with my family, I encountered a centipede. After a shower one night I sat down on my bed with my feet over the edge and I felt a large pinch. I looked down to see the largest centipede I've ever seen scurrying away. I didn't sleep in that room all week.
