I hope everyone had their fire coverage! A co workers fire policy was cancelled without them knowing (from what they said I can't prove if true or false) and then there house burnt down and they were forced to forclose on it. Most condos make it mandatory for there to be fire insurance in ur condo fees but lots of times that only covers building up the walls and not actually replacing everything that was inside your unit. Like drywall kitchen bathrooms all that fun stuff

My groceries are still sitting at the till at the Sobey's beside Canvas. They got us out of there in a hurry. I needed 30 more seconds to finish scanning my groceries 
I almost bought a unit there a month ago, but passed...maybe that was a good choice. They've been pushing the advertising like mad lately with door hangers and ads in newsletters and whatnot. Something tells me they might have some trouble selling now.

The city really needs to outlaw these tinderboxes, they are just disaster waiting to happen. A single fire in one unit, and we're talking hundreds going up in flames.
As I mentioned in another forum, I personally think there should be no such thing as wood-frame multi family construction over 2 stories. Just because they are cheap to put up doesn't mean they should be in existence.

I live in the complex. Luckily I don't live in that building. I live in the building beside it. Thankfully my building is untouched. The roof is gone on half of the building that is damaged. The fire stopped at the firewall. It was tough to get a good look, a couple units look gutted by fire. No word on when I can get into my building.
