Default Thank you CP!

As a thank you to the guys on Calgary Puck for supporting the game we've created a Calgary Puck world on our server for those on here that want to compete against CP guys and gals.

When we're rich off the game we'll donate to CP, until then we'll spend a $1 and buy you guys your own world.

You can log into the world on the Settings screen at the bottom by clicking "Select/Add".

World Name: CalgaryPuck
Password: oilerssuck

Just so you're aware, when you play in the CalgaryPuck world you will accumulate troops and resources in both the CP world and the Earth world. You just won't be able to see the Earth world unless you switch back.

Thanks again to everyone for their support of our game.

KTrain, is there any way to change my username? I used my real name, and would like to switch away from that.

Almost finished the following:
-Twitter integration
-In game friends list.
-In game chat
-Localized leaderboards. You may have seen messages like 'Soandso is the leader of Calgary'. You will be able to look at leaderboards for Calgary, Edmonton, Alberta, etc. Not long after users will be able to suggest their own areas for regionalized leaderboards.

Resources are not portable between worlds. I tried attacking someone and told me I didn't have enough resources. Is this as designed, or an oversight?

Raoul, you should be happy. I passed through your territory today and didn't nuke it. I suspect you will be less happy that I did drop about 5 Poison Food attacks.

This is by design. The intent of creating your own worlds is to level the playing field for your friends to play together. Everyone starts at relatively the same spot.

You will still accumulate resources in the other world but you can only use them there.

So with this new CP world, I think I'm really only going to be using it and competing against other CPers. Is there anyway I can make it so I'm automatically logged into the CP world when the app starts up?

Also, if I'm in the Earth or CP world and driving around will I capture the territory in both worlds, or do I have to pick which world I want it to work for?

It should automatically take you to the last world you were in.

You will gain troops in both worlds at the same time so if you have the most troops in a particular territory you'll take it over. You're only be able to attack someone in one world at a time though.

I just got it now.

I think I accidentally added the CP world twice, any way to get rid of one of them from my list?

When you log back in are the two duplicate worlds still there? We only see one record for each person in our database.

What's your user name?

What would happen if we were able to move troops from our current position to the neighboring squares? Kinda like Risk I suppose.

We've discussed it a few times and came to the conclusion that it would defeat the core idea of the game, that being a location based strategy game. It would certainly make things easier for the players but what makes the game unique (at least in our minds) is that you actually have to be in a location to play it.

The first beta of the game allowed people to attack from anywhere as long as they had one troop in a territory. After a few attacks were launched from McKenzie Towne to take over territories in far NW we decided it wasn't as challenging.

Yeah long distance I don't think it would be a good idea, only current square and the 8 surrounding. I was thinking more about the little places that have a leader with maybe 50 troops because nobody is ever there, while a neighboring square leader will have over 6,000. Could make for more battles over the "shared squares" that two neighboring players may have.

Might take the fun out of it if someone leaves their phone on over night and throws 5000 troops in 9 squares though.
