I would however like to point out that they are not and have never made fun of the dead guy. They're making fun of the situation, the justice system, etc. No one know the dead to make fun of him.

If you really want to take the moral high stance here, you would know that all forms of bigotry and sexist, racist and other jokes of bad taste aren't harmless and reflect structured inequalities in our society.
