*sigh*

I think i'll be uninstalling until they release a patch to deal with scoring... On Difficult with stuff like shot accuracy, pass speed, game speed, etc. turned all the way down, I still get games that are 8-7 8-9, etc...

I was just beaten by Nashville on 6 straight 3rd period goals. They were down 6-3 after the 2nd. I play pretty good D, but everything just went in. Nashville ended up with 9 goals on 22 shots. Anyone come up with settings that bring down scoring?

The message boards I've been on alot of people are saying that using the old NHL rules(2 line pass, no delayed offsides) have gotten them better results. Alot of people are also playing 5 minute periods instead of 10 or 20.

I agree with DJ Rice, the AI in this game is laughable. I really wanted to give it a fair shot and adjust things before my final verdict, but I have to say its an overall disappointment. I'm getting nothing but 10+ goal games, on difficult, with sliders to a low game speed and defensive type sliders all the way up. I just had a game vs Wancouver that was 2-1 for them going into the 3rd. I won the game 7-4. This type of game has occured numerous times for me. Its not even fun to play anymore, and I've had the game for like 5 days.

I bought both 2k6 and 2006 at the same time. 2006= while its fun, I find a few things quite annoying. The goalie makes the stupidest decisions ever. I have gotten a number of 5 on 3 penalties from the computer dumping the puck in then my goalie goes out of the trapezoid. One of the few face offs I won, the puck goes down the ice behind me and in the net . I find 2k6 way more realistic, especially online. I like how you can intimidate a player with an enforcer. Last night in the battle of Alberta online, I scared the shinguard out of Mike York with Simon.

Edit- I must say its pretty sweet how 2006 online has an actuall sports ticker with baseball/football scores actually going on.
