The Browns have also traded OLB Kamerion Wimbley to the Raiders for a draft pick.

If he ends up being awesome great, but my initial reaction to this trade is "What a pile of crap".

What he said.
Glad to hear the '11 pick is a 6th and the '12 pick condition better have some pretty tough conditions to hit the high end.
I will like it a little better when Orton signs. If Orton, for some reason, leaves Denver? I will explode.

Great trade for the Raiders. Wimbley is a very nice player.

Orton's an RFA with a 1st round tender. No one is giving that up for him. I'd guess 1 year deal.

Actually don't mind having Orton/Quinn combo. Who knows, maybe Quinn can find some grove with McD and create a good competition for QB starter.

Agreed, but I've been stunned more than once in the last 14 months.

Niners sign David Carr...agree to trade Shaun Hill to the Lions.
Odd move IMO.

Not sure why...i think any QB in that situation was destined to fail. Horrible team and a horrible pass blocking line....and little for receivers on top of all that.
Delhomme is gonna make you wish Quinn was still around when all is said and done IMO.

Delhomme >>> Brady Quinn
Did CLE give Brady a fair shake?
http://www.cleveland.com/ohio-sports...ady_quinn.html
Quinn could not be trusted to throw the ball further than 10 yards.

Totally agree, I still think Brady Quinn has the tools to succeed in this league. I'm actually quite surprised the Browns gave up on him so quickly. I have a feeling Delhomme will not be the starter there next year(at least not for the entire season) so I'd have to think the Browns are planning on targeting a QB in the Draft(or June/August cuts). They can't actually believe Delhomme is the answer...can they??

I am fine with Quinn. Its not like we have a budding All Star in Orton.
McD thinks he can make someone into a good QB. Quinn has all the tools and might want to now prove it now that he is free of the Browns.
I was worried they might waste a high pick on a QB, that fear is now gone. They can work on other areas that need help.

Agreed, I dont really see why they would trade him. He is a great player and its not like they have anyone that can step in right now. Maybe they plan on drafting an OLB in the 2nd round - #7 is too high for a OLB.
I think Fajita is an inside backer right?

He is, but he's a bit undersized for a 4-3 DE. I don't know if he can be an OLB in that situation, he's pretty much a pure rusher. I'm curious to see how they use him.

That did ruffle a few feathers, Patrick Willis was pretty upset, but he and Carr talked and smoothed things out. The trade of Hill was to keep him out of the offseason workouts and give him another chance with another team.

Haha love the spelling on Fujita, I could go for some of those right now...
No he's an OLB, Vilma was the Mike in New Orleans.

That is 10 yards further than any team should allow Delhomme to throw the ball.

Exactly. Now Broncos can focus on Broncos defensive front 7 and maybe picking up a receiver on a high pick.

How does acquiring a backup QB allow that to happen? I just don't think it changes a thing.
I guess the competition could push Orton to be better. He's been pretty good in Denver thus far though.
