On Monday, ordered the router from them. As of yet, I have only received
an "acknowlegement" email. Nothing about order number, cost, invoice,
or anything.
How long does it usually take after the acknowlegement to get the next
"order confirmed" email??

Edit: Resolved - something (Dell cannot seem to find out what) must have gotten
mixed up. Dell corrected on their end. Helpful individual was vamsee_tr-at-Dell.com or call me directly at toll free 1-800-847-4096 Ext : 4250235 (If putting name/email/phone

I have the one without the answering machine and it works pretty good. But I live in a small apartment so I can't tell you on range.

Looking at the 22" TV- am I reading that correct that it doesn't have a coax input?
I see it has a tuner, but no mention of the input.

Any thoughts on that external drive? I need a new one as my time machine drive seems to have bitten the dust.

The inspiron mini is not really on a sale but is it good enough for simple school work? no gaming, just web browsing and school work? Need it for my younger brother, its tiny as well, so he can carry it easily.

A few years back I applied online at Dell for the payment plan for a computer. I filled out all of the stuff online and submitted it. I didn't get anything back for a few days. Then a week. So I thought it just got lost. So I went to a local real store and bought a computer
About 6 weeks later I get an email from Dell saying that my credit application had been approved. I phoned them and just laughed. I told them I bought a computer 5 weeks ago and then needed to actually acknowledge my application and keep me updated on the status of things.

If anybody's looking for a pocket sized camcorder, that Sanyo is an excellent price. I bought the same one about four months ago and paid 540 for it after getting a lucky BestBuy price match where I think they gave me more off than they were supposed to.
It's the only camcorder in its class (sub-$1000) that I know of that does 1080p60. It also takes okay stills at 8MP, although the stills aren't the best. I love the 1080p60 though, it's got the smoothest sports motion you've ever seen on a camcorder.

Well, those 22" monitors are up for sale that I kind of wanted for Eyefinity.
Sadly, the 5870's performance doesn't seem to be where I would like it to be for me to trust plopping down $500 after shipping/taxes for two more monitors.

Those are sweet monitors though at that price. IPS panel to boot. If I was looking for a 22' monitor, that would be my choice.

Hmm, those monitors don't have displayport either which was another reason I decided not to bite (aside from poverty).

Yeah, I just noticed no display port also. It costs over $100 for an active converter.
Anyways I'm looking for a bigger screen sometime up the road. With all these new video cards coming with display port, you'd think the manufacturers would come out with monitors with display port. About the only place I see them is on some Dell monitors, so I took it for granted this high end monitor would have it.

DisplayPort? Great, another format war. Can't we all just go to HDMI 1.4?

HDMI 1.4 eh, so are you going to get a 3D TV? The thing is a person will need a new 3D bluray player, a 3D audio receiver and 3D glasses. The good thing is, the new receivers are coming out with 3D processing, so if anybody is looking for a receiver, they should wait for the 3D receivers as the prices don't look too bad either as even the cheap ones now have HD audio. The other alternative is to get a 3D bluray player with dual HDMI outputs. One will go directly to the TV, while the other will go to the receiver.

HDMI converges the Consumer Electronics market with the PC market. Introducing DisplayPort not only splits the PC market, it splits it off from Consumer Electronics. I don't like that.
I have a 3D-Ready TV. I'm not 100% sure sure how much compatibility it will have with 3D broadcasts (coming to Canada when?) or Blu-Ray. Right now my content all comes from my OC, and I haven't bought any field-sequential DVDs with 3D Blu-Ray coming out.
Not everyone will need a new 3D Blu-Ray. If your Blu-Ray player happens to be a PS3 it will update itself for 3D. Actually I'm reading now that any Blu-Ray player that can receive updates will be able to support at least half-resolution 3D, which is what my TV does anyways, so I'm thinking I'll be okay.
I'm not really an A/V guy, especially on the audio side. Tried hooking my HDPVR up to my Logitech Z-5500s, but couldn't get the audio to sync with the picture and went back to using my TV speakers.
I suspect I will need new glasses. My nVidias are locked to the PC. So I could throw a BR drive into my machine for 3D BR, or go for the PS3 and new glasses.
The one thing I won't be doing though is buying a new TV right away. I'll stick with the type of content I have if it comes to that, but I don't think it will.
