Does joining a game on Xbox take over 5 minutes? I wish the moving around would be a little smoother like COD. It's kind of a fun game but I think I still prefer COD. It takes almost a full clip for me to kill a guy. And using a sniper, I shot a guy in the chest and he still wasn't dead. Sniper is so darn hard in that game that if you miss, you're pretty much screwed.
I think I'll give this a little more time to try out but trying to get into a game takes FOREVER

I've had trouble the last few days with it taking longer then normal to get into a game. But normally its very fast. Sniper isn't that bad, once you factor in the gravity factor on bullets it's way easier. Its definitely better then COD IMO and by a far margin.

as been mentioned, there is actually gravity in this game, from far distances have to aim a bit up from the head of the guy... much more realistic and better

You're serious? Call of Duty is brutal for that. First off I get 60 bullets for my Scar, 18 of which I use killing my first guy because the hit detection is so bad.
It has never taken me more than 10 seconds to find a game in Battlefield.
My suggestion is play hardcore, snipers take 1 bullet, and ev everything about it is better.
Call of Duty is for little kids IMO (no offense) while Battlefield are for people who have a IQ higher than 17, that is why most Call of Duty fanboys hate it. They don't understand the concepts of team-work.

That's the reason I recommend hardcore servers. No healing and pretty much instant death from a single burst of fire is why hardcore is much more fun and less frustrating.
I've only played on a friend's PC but I am debating picking this up when I get a 5870 next week. My main beef is that it feels much more like COD than Battlefield. You guys who have played 1942 and BF2, what do you think? It just doesn't "feel" like a Battlefield game to be. It's so claustrophobic. The maps are so small and contain you to a small area and there are so few players (32 instead of 64). I'm used to an incredibly huge area that was impossible to navigate on foot. That's part of the charm of the series for me because it makes vehicles and team transport logistics so much more important. It seems they scaled everything down to make it more friendly for walking around.
I would play hardcore but I barely even know what I'm doing. I'm a battlefield virgin. So the controls and guns and everything are really new to me.
It's not the far distance sniping shot I was talking about, it was a guy close enough that I didn't need to scope with. I shot him in the stomach and he didn't die. When I get better I'll try to hardcore... but somehow I like healing
My ratio for the first few games was something like .11 haha. I'm trying assault (find it the easiest). If I do the first unlock for medic and mechanic do I then get to heal people?
It's definitely a good change of pace compared to COD and I think I"ll be trying to play this for the next while.
Video shows long range sniping (spawn camping actually). It shows that gravity and bullet time exists. It takes 1.4 seconds for the bullet to reach the target.
Spawn camping is annoying but it also shows you how gravity works. He's lining them up with the 3rd marking down on his sights.
Is anyone else getting a little disappointed with the volume of 'recon' players? Every game I join I'm in a squad with three recon and all they do is sit and snipe instead of taking objectives. Kind of ruins the point of working as a team. Even if they just added a little sway to the scope to make it tougher - or a hold breath function like COD would be helpful.

Yeah. Pretty much 2/3 of the team are Recon. Not all do a great job of spotting either.
If any of you guys want to make a party or something - add me. But I warn you, I kind of suck. But.... I just got my defibrillator's!!!

I will for sure. I'm close to getting the advanceed medikit now. I try to play a different role each time I play but lately I've been skipping the recon.
I hate analog sticks so much I have even gone to the length of pretending my hand was injured at work so I didn't have to pick up a stupid console controller at a party when it was handed to me. Playing FPS (or even any 3rd person game requiring aiming) on consoles is pretty much torture. I'd rather goto work than play a game on there.
Haha wow. I used to be pretty bad at aiming, but it gets way easier as you practice more. I tried the PS3 and can't use their controllers, but the Xbox was made for my hands.

I think bullet drop is one of the best things about the BF series.
Anyone have problems playing online for Xbox? I try to join a game, I get the 'searching for games' screen then it just disappears. I keep doing this but nothing happens.
