TO has realized that he isnt a #1 anymore. He is really good friends with Ochocinco and will know who is going to get the most passes coming his way. Plus he will be a lot cheaper then Marshall with less risk because he will only get a 1 year deal.
Marshall was suspended for complaining and not putting effort in during practice - how is that being a team guy?

Looks like the Pats have resigned Leigh Bodden. No terms yet and not official, should be announced tomorrow.
Love this signing he was huge last year. A very good cover corner

Marshall was benched for the final game due to issue with him and coach Mac. I posted it another time, he actually went on the radio here afterwards to clarify. Long story short, he was told by trainers to rehab, said nothing to coach Mac about wanting to play, so coach Mac took that as he didn't want to play and he sat him.
Marshall has always shown here he is a team guy. His beef here isn't with the coach even, it all started with the medical staff and what he felt was a misdiagnosed hip injury. He wants to be paid like a top receiver, which he is. He just went about it the wrong way.
I'm not trying to say he's Jesus, but Marshall is in no way the TO mold of receiver the national media has tried to make him out to be.

Good riddence Wallace.
Not that he had a smart football mentor to emulate, but him not being able to push Hasslebeck at all in 7 years as a backup confirms his uselessness.
Whether coming in as a backup or when he was the starter, his lack of ability gave Hasslebeck too long of a leash to do whatever he wanted no matter how bad he stunk and that cost the Seahawks.
No more..whether SEA drafts or gets a veteran backup (I suspect the former), the days of Hasslebeck sauntering off the field shaking his head in confusion doesn't automatically mean that he'll keep getting thrown out there series after series, game after game if he's struggling.

Hmmm...I seem to remember Marshall being a complete and utter prima donna in last years training camp...was he not suspended for his nonsense at that point as well?
He may eb a great receiver, but he is a long way from being a "team guy". At least thus far.

Brandon Marshall and Chad Johnson are friends.
Terrell Owens was let go in Dallas because he was a hated man in the locker room.

Different off season, same QB charged with an interesting crime in a different time zone, state, and city.

NFL radio reporsts that Thomas Jones signs a two year deal worth 5 million with the Chiefs. The Jets must have been offering him nothing if he's jumping ship to KC. He would be a very good compliment to Jamaal Charles though.

Ya I saw that about a week after the Super Bowl, I agree. Speaking of which, Saints Super Bowl DVD released today! I think it should come with a piece of Juicy Fruit(you'll get it when you watch it. Payton's a beauty, let's just say that).

Here's hoping Williams has a similar impact to the last time the Broncos signed and interdivsional veteran d-lineman.

I know all about the juicy fruit.
Good to see the Saints taking some looks at guys to bolster the D-line. I hated to see guys gashing them for 6-7 yards at a time last season.

I'm ecstatic with the Broncos signings this week. All D line guys, big, pretty damn good too. Williams if healthy is one of the top NT's in the league, I was shocked the Chargers let him go. I assumed his career was over and he wouldn't pass a physical. Bannan and Green are great too. You can never have too much depth on the D line.

Thomas Jones has done well, but he only gets older, and while he was a rare 30-year old standout running back last season, you can't do that forever.
On the flipside, he provides a veteran presence that can help coach along Charles and be a leader on the team.
Something that team desperately needs.

Jones is up there in age, but most 31 year old backs don't run for 4.2 yards a carry and 1400 yards. Than again most don't run behind that Jets offensive line.
Essentially Jones can come in and do some of the running between the tackles, and near the goal line. Jamaal Charles isn't built to tote the rock 25-30 times a game and survive a 16 game season. So getting a guy to spell him off like Jones makes this Chief fan happy.
If they get fortunate enough to have Okung fall to them, and than move Albert to Right Tackle or Left guard, keep Brian Waters, they might have the makings of a team who can run the ball and protect Matt Cassels wet noodle arm much like the did with Trent Green.

Jones has hands down been the most underrated back in the league for years. I hate that the Chiefs signed him. He's money.

Wow. Derek Anderson is pissed at the Browns fans.
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4979700
Quote:
Anderson was not happy to be shown the door, lashing out at Browns fans on Tuesday.
"The fans are ruthless and don't deserve a winner," Anderson wrote Tuesday in an e-mail to the Willoughby News-Herald. "I will never forget getting cheered when I was injured.
"I know at times I wasn't great. I hope and pray I'm playing when my team comes to town and [we] roll them."
