You are dumber than every person on this site.

Don't take that as an insult. But, instead focus on the positive. You are a person.

Once the media began doing their dirty garbage and Palin began opening her mouth, well then it became a whole different ballgame.

In the end, as candidates Obama was able to get people to believe his BS better than Palin was able to get people to believe her BS.

I don't think she is a smart person. I think Bush is a smart guy, but with policies that really make you scratch your head.

Palin just comes across and sleazy and stupid.

I said : I would bet her IQ is higher than 90% of the posters on this site.

You say I should have said : I'll bet she's smarter than 90% of the population

You are saying that since I worded mine like that then I am saying that I am smarter than 90% of the posters on this site? I don't get the leap.

I don't see where I am saying anything about my intelligence.

I am saying I would bet. So then that means it is my opinion that she has a higher IQ than 90% of the posters on this site. ... Okay, I still don't see where I am saying I am more intellgent than 90% of the posters here.

Oh heck yeah. And while you're entitled to believe that Obama was just spouting BS (and I'll admit, he's done some stuff that bug me so far), I'm a liberal and happen to like his BS a whole bunch.

I'd rather a president who spouted BS that I liked than one who spouts BS that drives me nuts.

Anyway, totally off-topic question, but as a conservative (or at least more conservative than me), how do you feel about the recent Supreme Court decision to allow corporations to donate unlimited funds to political campaigns?

What has Sarah done to make her so obviously intelligent? What are her accomplishments?

We know that getting a degree isn't necessarily a sign of intelligence and we know that you don't have to be smart to be a politician. So, what is it? Specifically, what has she done that moves her up the charts?

Since some of you think the following are not an indication of intelligence then I guess she hasn't done anything.

1. Has a university degree.
2. Has been the governor of a US state.
3. Put herself in position to be a nominee to be the VP of United Status.

No, I'm saying that telling someone reading your post that they are 90% likely to be dumber than Sarah Palin is an insult. Is that plain enough for you?

Directly comparing your reader to an idiot, and having them come up short, is a rhetorical technique indicative of a profound misunderstanding of how to sway people to your point of view. The WAY you say something is just as important as WHAT you are saying - which, btw, is why Palin has a following amongst people who think educated speech is a satanic sign of socialism.

How are those indicators of intelligence? How? Explain this absurd leap you're making.

I'm starting to understand why you think the posters on this site are a pretty dim lot. You are one of us.

Using all caps for an angry question is very inneffective when you don't put a question mark at the end of it. In fact, some may see it as a sign of one's intelligence.

Forgetting about IQ's for a second, if Palin wants to be president, there are two ways to go about it:

The right way:
Staying on as Alaskan Governor, running for Federal Senate in two years, building up a voting record to show people she's the real deal

The wrong way:
Quitting your elected post halfway through your term and taking a part time gig with Fox News, making you about as presidential as Joe the Plumber.

I know the program well. My roommate just graduated from it. It can be challenging and rewarding if you want it to be, but you can also skate through the Idaho journalism program without doing much of anything. Yes, even if you are of below average intelligence.

and yet I heard Romney on TV, say she is a legitimate presidential candidate. These days in the Republican party all you need is the 'born again' religious backing and you have power and most of these people seemed to have put their brains on hold. Meanwhile the real conservatives and big business hope to take advantage of Palin's simplistic economic and foreign affairs 'thoughts'. I was going to say theories but that's going too far. Even thoughts give her too much credit as I don't believe she's ever had an original one yet.

You honestly believe because someone has a degree they are automatically an intelligent person, and smarter than most that don't?

No. I was not saying that at all.

But, I am giving up on this topic. No point banging my head against the wall trying to have a conversation.
