Chanel surfing,,,, I was able to see Lithgow & M.C. Hall get their hardware.
Both of them were very gracious. Kind of concerning to see Hall accepting his award with a touque on his head and a very weird blotch on his cheek, must have something to do with his Hodgkins.
I was thrilled to see both of them win!
BTW: Judging by some of the people that have taken awards home tonight, The 2010 Oscars are going to be a MASSIVE joke!.
The winner of Best Drama for the last three years. I love Dexter as much as the next guy, but it's truly hard to find many faults in Mad Men. it's an amazing show and I have no problem with that show winning.
I haven't seen Mad Men so I won't judge. I'd be shocked if I prefer it over Dexter, but I'll give it a fair shake. This season of Dexter was so epic I'll have a hard time ever enjoying a season of TV more.

Dexter is definitely one of the best dramas out there, same with Mad Men (two quite different styles). But if you can get into The Wire, which was an HBO series from about 2002-2008, that is possibly the greatest TV drama ever made. My avatar and username is a character from that show.
Both Michael C Hall and John Lithgow were very deserving winners.

When I first moved to the deep south (of calgary) I was faced with a 2 hour time-kill each day on transit. The Wire was my first project. I got through all 5 seasons over the course of a few months. Brilliant show and I'd recommend it to everyone. I still prefer Dexter, but The Wire is phenomenal.

Two completely different shows. Both are good for different reasons.
It's all a matter of preference and I prefer Mad Men.

Golden Globe winner Michael C. Hall of Showtime's "Dexter," wearing a cap because of treatment he's receiving for Hodgkin's lymphoma, won best actor in a drama series.
The above is from the Canoe website, No mention of Lithgow or any other "Dexter" cast members.

So I'm driving to Lake Louise the other day and I'm talking to my buddy. Unofficial transcript:
Me: Are you still watching Dexter?
Buddy: Just finished
Me: You finished season 4?
Buddy: Yes
Me: Holy sh*t! What did you think? I want to talk about this!
Buddy: Meh. It was ok.
Me: *blank stare*
Buddy: What?
Me: You didn't finish it.
Buddy: What do you mean? Of course I did.
Me: Tell me how it ends
Buddy: I don't really remember
Me: Ya you didn't finish it.
Buddy: Yes I did, I sat down with my girlfriend and we watched the last show together
Me: THEN HOW DID IT END?
Buddy: *long silence* ... oh he has the trinity killer on his table and he kills him.
Me: Oh my god you didn't finish it.
Buddy: You mean there's more?
Me: I'm done with this conversation, you need to watch that episode again tonight ... ALL OF IT THIS TIME.
I'm not going anywhere near reading any of the posts, because I'll ruin the show for myself, and I won't check back into this thread until I'm all caught up... but on a whim I got the first three seasons on DVD... just cruised through the first season in the last week and wow... what an amazing show.
