Did Chicago end up getting a pick in exchange for Bourque?
Did his recent re-signing have any bearing on the granting of the conditional pick?

I have updated that trade.

Chicago holds three picks in the second round of the 2010 draft. In addition to their own second rounder, the Blackhawks acquired Calgary's second in exchange for Rene Bourque and Montreal's second in exchange for Robert Lang.

You mixed up at least one transaction:

		| 16-Jun-72 To The Atlanta Flames - Lynn Powis, Rey Comeau
To The Montreal Canadiens – 1973 2nd Round selection (Eric Vail) and Cash
 |
Atlanta drafted Eric Vail in the second round, not Montreal. He played for the franchise for many years.

I am not sure what this transaction should have been.

The Savard deal was bad, but this one looks even worse.

What looks worse it the fact that we drafted Rico Fata, Blair Betts, and Paul Manning ahead of him. (and Yes 63 other pics were made too)
The reality is you should never base the value of a trade on the decisions made on draft day. They are two different issues IMO.Quote:

Wow just found this thread, great work, very informative, opens my eyes up to the minor deals that were made, also kinda depressing at some spots too haha
I noticed Lundmark's name in there getting traded away and back, got me thinking, do you have any aspirations to include players claimed off waivers from the Calgary Flames to another team? such as Lundmark this past season, or players claimed off waivers as an addition to the Calgary Flames

I just thought that would be a neat addition, seeing who got traded here, then eventually given away, or players claimed and then used in deals or otherwise

The main problem with the decline of CP is the lack of HD. Good to see you around still brah!

Why did we do this.. Its like, Hey Toronto. Want our 2nd rounder? We have 7 NHL defensemen and want 8.. so like do we have a deal?

It was to rid the Flames of Primeau's cap hit. Effectively cost the Flames their 2nd for a 3rd, Stuart and a 7th to do it.

We flipped Stralman for the 65th overall pick last year, in a draft that had a lot of talent. He was probably expecting that 2nd to be in the 50+ range, but might end up being 31 or so. Not a big deal though as the talent this year is still worse than last year

I think that means the pick used to select Mitch Wahl went to LA in the Conroy trade, but was sent back in the Cammalleri trade. I could be wrong though.
