I'm pretty sure the average age in here doesn't classify us as kids either!

If it says "one vote per day per person" and they dont have a program or something set up to prevent this its their fault.
Especially since the voting is done over the internet.

Conscience, I love you. You're my favourite single thread troll ever. Can I keep you under my couch and take you out to show family and friends when we need something cute to talk about?

You bring up some good points. How do you control what others do on the internet. Pillsbury found out the hard way that trust is definately not the way to go. I vetted (quick kids look it up on google) every vote made for me with in reason. KC did the same he just did it in a different manner. He condoned the cheating. I did not. Had anybody placed 200 votes for me in one session I would have asked Pillsnury to remove the votes (see concience)

Pillsbury was/is mortified of legal/marketing issues to do with the contest. What started with a simple fun contest turned into a marketing nightmare. Made worse by a bunch of self- serving self-centered morally bankrupt (yes all of you) kids.

If it was as big of an issue as you say she would have been removed from the contest. Go whine about this back at your other forum we really don't care.

Just don't ask her to cook for you. Obviously she hasn't got that skill down or she would have won!

Perhaps I didn't understand the actual process of the voting procedures since I didn't actually participate. But I was under the impression that prior to the reset.. all the various vote-enhancing mechanisms were not protected against. Only after the reset did they make it more difficult to bypass the one-vote per day rule? If not, I retract my statement.
Regardless, the results were judged anyways.

You signed up for an account to prove you didn't cheat in a contest you didn't win? You should change your name to "CaptainObvious". Except its taken.

Pillsbury messed up. The people responsible for this debacle of an internet contest didn't implement a way to ensure that voting was authenticated. Oops. Lesson learned, and perhaps next time they'll do a better job. Or maybe they won't. Asking people to authenticate themselves will turn people away. Less eyes on the site. Less lucrative stats to show their advertisters/sponsors.
Their PR people surely didn't want the bad publicity of banning someone from the contest for doing exactly what they wanted them to do - beg for votes. It is about hits, ad impressions, branding, word of mouth. Do you really think that Pillsbury cares who wins the contest? They just want their brand and their sponsors' brands shown. Over, and over, and over again.
And get this - I didn't even vote in the contest. Not my style. I'm just finding the fallout a little amusing. Anyway, this "kid" has a big day of putting his degree to use and can't be worried about tears shed over a Pillsbury contest...
