Damn, and here I thought the Arcade Fire, The Tragically Hip, The Weakethans and Leonard Cohen were all Canadian, the musical performances could have been so much better.

But hey, WE WON HOCKEY!

When put up against the other acts, Neil young's performance was like the beetles + led zeppelin + johnny cash wrapped into one.

Well if people wanna rag on VANOC for something, it can defiantly be for the music selection.

And even if they're catering to the younger generation, the music was still crap. Simple Plan and Avril Lavigne? Come on man...how does Simple Plan keep getting involved with this stuff?

Should be about 20 minutes and the First Nations will be complaining about total lack of representation in the CC...as well as other visible minorities.

Neil Young is a fantastic singer-songwriter talent. If people can't see that, may god have mercy on their souls.

It's us white people who should have a right to complain. Being represented by Avril Lavigne, Nickelback and Simple Plan is far worse than not being represented at all!

Maybe it's good that the Asian Canadians didn't get represented?

songwriter perhaps, but he's overrated. As a singer, there might not be a worse singer in the entire world.

Wow, that "concert" was pathetically lame. Disappointing end to a half decent closing ceremonies. it's a shame the world will think we have zero talent now.

Neil Young is like single malt scotch. Either you like it/him, or you don't.

Here in the rest of the world, everyone loves Neil Young. Should have done 'Rocking in the free world' instead, of course.

I spotted both Kiira Korpi and Hege Bokko, but sadly no Tessa Virtue for me.
