Team Canada 2014
Yes, it's 4 years away, and there's no guarantee that NHL'ers will be in the Olympics but might be fun to speculate who makes it in 2014.

I look forward to Captain Crosby with Doughty and Keith patrolling the blue line.

Lol we just won the gold 2 hours ago and a lines thread already for 4 years from now (not bashing the thread, just think its funny).
Guys like Toews, Richards, Weber, Doughty, Keith should be back on this team (among others) but so much can happen in 4 years (not to mention all the guys who will be drafted until then).

Of course... but it's just for fun, we're not etching it in stone.

NHL players will be there.
Bettman is just not committing to it, because its a huge bargaining chip to hold over the NHLPA. They'll get something in return, and the players will get to go. Just a posturing tactic for now.

Canada won't have any young good players to put on the team in 2014. I'd be surprised if they even put a team in the Olympics.

Probably last hurrah for Niedermayer and Pronger. We'll see if Iginla's still there. They like to keep around at least one older vet even if his game drops (not saying it will).

Who the hell is Myers that is a Canadian?
Hodgson still has a lot to prove to be there as do Tavares and Hall. Mike Richards is making the team next time too IMO.

Myres not american ditched to play for Canada. Father president of an oil company here in Calgary who worked down in the states, Tyler wanted to (tryout) and play for Canada not the US even though they guarenteed a spot for him on the US roster.

Many of you all forget too, we have the most clutch player in the history of international competition, Jordan Eberle.

Probably the only American born player that's ever played for Canada. He learned his hockey here so he's legitimate as a Canadian player. Can't say as much for the American National teams that have poached a few of Canadian trainedp layers.

Brandon Kozun was born in LA. He was guaranteed a spot on the American World Junior team but choose to play for Canada.
