And damn I never thought I'd see the day that I'd rather watch curling than hockey! Would easily trade the Hockey Men's gold to see them pull it out now.

Wow really? I could understand if you were a diehard curling fan or something. I mean I hope Bernard hangs on and wins the Gold but not at the expense of Men's Gold in hockey.

But luckily..........they both can win Gold!

Need to force a single here, blank the ninth, and then come home with the hammer in 10.

edit: or blank the eight and force a single in the ninth.

Well, let's not get too far ahead of ourselves.

It's nice that you are caught up in the moment though.

Doesn't seem to be a way for Canada to not give up 1 here ...

Sweden needs to score two. They will blank the end and keep the hammer in 9.

So because Sweden didn't get a point, they keep the hammer? I is confused.

Edit: Answered before the question! Awesome!

Can they do the same in the 9th and have the hammer for the 10th?

Yes, if you score a point in an end, the other team gets the hammer. If nobody scores, the team who had the hammer keeps it.

Canada scored 2 points in end 7 so Sweden had the hammer in 8 as a result. Nobody scored in 8 so they(Sweden) keep it in 9.

They can try, yes. And in that case, Canada is looking to either steal, or hold Sweden to one in the 10th and gain the hammer in the extra end.

The next two (or three) ends will be one heck of a chess match.
