Default The Olympics has shown me....

...how much better the quality of NHL hockey would be if we didn't have 30 teams in the league.

Most teams have 1-2 elite players, a few nice players, and a bunch of pluggers.

The NHL would be vastly more entertaining if each team had 3-4 elite players (or more, and "4th line energy" players toiled away in the ECHL instead.

Oh well.

And only New York, Montreal, Toronto, and Boston had teams. That sure would be sweet....

That athletes like to sleep with each other and don't go bareback.

The Olympics has shown me....

...how much we like to find fault in our athletes

...how the only thing that matters is hockey

...how inspiring the stories can be

...how awesome it is to be in the middle of it all and soak up the atmosphere

...how much fun the world has when they are playing sports not politics

...how to celebrate my birthday

It's possible to hold a Winter Olympics in a city that doesn't get winter.

Actually, scoring would go down if you concentrate the talent on fewer teams.
