Women's hockey definitely isn't the most entertaining thing in the world, but I don't mind giving up 2 hours of my time every 4 years to watch team Canada win gold.

File this away with the ice dance medal... Ok, I think it's safe to pull the plug on this sport. Even Mrs Impaler, who is no sports fan, was like "wtf? this is awful".

YOu know, I didnt' come to this thread to hear whether women's hockey deserves to exist at these Olympics. They're the best female hockey players in the world, and no they can't compete against the men which is similar to every other sport here, so can it and lets celebrate.

They showed members of mens Team Canada watching the game... oddly enough nobody was smiling when the women won gold. They looked almost look tense and nervous as if they were seeing what could be theirs if all goes well.

Yeah that... or they were numb with boredom. I suspect the latter.

Shaddup. Whetever you think of the Women's game, this game was close and won with superior goaltending and a couple of clutch goals. I'm satisfied.

This is women's hockey, fer crying out loud. They're not NHL players. At what they do, they're the best in the world. Geez. I watched the whole game and loved it. Szabados, Poulin, Hefford, Wickenheiser et al. I love these ladies. Congrats, gals, you did it. Now, guys, make it two.
