I'm shocked, never, ever heard of such a thing happening before.

I'm sorry, I laughed a little bit when it said her one shoe went flying.

I think people tend to forget that these are all wild animals. No amount of training is going to completely domesticate them.

Ya that definitely made me think of the Dane Cook joke about the guy getting hit by a car.

In other news, should we be surprised that a KILLER WHALE killed something? There's a reason it isn't called a huggable loveable peace-loving whale.

Damn, that whale is a killer!

Quote:
"While officials have not named which of the park's whales attacked the trainer, local news reports identify the whale as Tillikum, or "Tilly," who has a violent past.

Tillikum and two female whales drowned their trainer during a performance at Sealand of the Pacific, in British Columbia. Part-time trainer Keltie Byrne died when she slipped and fell into the water and the whales would not let her get out.

The park closed its whale exhibit and sold Tillikum to SeaWorld in 1992. In 1999, SeaWorld employees found him swimming in his pen with the body of a naked man on his back."

People forget about the unpredictable nature of wild animals and nature. But they look so cute when they beg for the fish or the snack, all the time they're plotting and talking in their whale speech, knowing that they're out of the reach of the justice system and that nobody is going to pronounce a death sentence on a whale.

In 6 months we'll forget all about it, meanwhile they'll be planning and looking at their flippers praying for evolution and the arrival of the oppossable thumb and a pistol with a big enough trigger guard for them to use.

Its just like human's and kittens, oh sure they're cute and they're cuddling and we think they love us, but man, the day they figure out how to slam that pillow over our face and hold it down til we stop breathing is the day that we give up our position at the top of the pet chain.

The old saying is don't trust whitey, the new saying is don't trust anyone cuter and fuzzier then us.
