In the South here...a toboggan is not something you slide down a hill on, but something you wear on your head...i like to call them touques myself.

Speak for yourself. I broke the sound barrier on my GT racer shortly before retiring from the sport at the advanced age of 10.

I wittnessed my best friend (about 30 years ago, in Olds) break the sound barrier on an Inner Tube.....right before hitting an exposed 4" drain pipe, Face First!...Possibly the most terrifying event I've ever seen.

...He's fine now, But that day His face looked like 4 Lbs of Ground Beef!

What kind of person designs a toboggan course with an exposed drain pipe?!? That kind of thing puts a black eye on the sport I love so dearly.

You do realize I am joking right? Unless your sense of humor is more arid than mine, then HAHA.

If Canada can get 10 or more gold, I could care less if they win more than 24 medals. Being an Olympic Champion means alot more than squeaking out bronze medals.

Same here. Silver and Bronze are nice, but Golds, which most of the world uses to measure standings, is the most important to me.

If we lead in amount of golds who cares about the amount of total medals. Change the slogan to Own the Gold.

I have a hard time getting too excited about a gold medal in ski-cross. Aren't the participants in this event mostly alpine rejects or am I wrong?

Alpine Gold >>> Fringe sport gold
