There is no point arguing Luongo or Fleury
everyone knows who is going to start if Brodeur doesn't

Finland is deep. And they don't give up any goals.
Canada can't score any goals, and give up alot of them.
|
I know it is cool to overreact and hate on Canada right now but Finland doesn't have a single skater that would make the Canadian team.
Canada let in 0 and 2 goals its first two games but now it lets in a lot of goals?
Finland scored what 1 more goal than Canada in its first two games?
I think Canada's stats would look pretty sweet playing against Germany and Belarus as well.

I think we have a good enough line up. We just need to use it better. I also think the chemistry between the SJ is great but it doesn't automatically make them good.
This tournament is not lost. We just need a little more luck now.

That San Jose line disappeared fast near the end of the game.
What does Thornton do out there again?

Times like this make me glad that I don't care much for international hockey or the Olympics in general.

Fleury is coming off a recent injury, and has been a bit flaky as well. Luongo is positionally a good goalie, big, and has played well. We don't need out of this world goaltending, just someone to stand in there, make a few good reaction saves, and not do anything stupid.
I still say Luongo is the guy to go with.

Actually, that's true. We'll just have four years to second-guess if it doesn't work out.
Luongo in 2014?

Babcock is going to start Brodeur next game, bury Iggy on the 4th line, gives Crosby 8 minutes of ice time, Doughty is a healthy scratch, Keith plays 4 shifts, Pronger plays a remarkable 48 minutes and Perry something something.

Jesus, I'm truly amazed that anyone agrees with me on this. The few times I've dared mention such things in public I've basically been heckled.

Why do you even care? You are a fan of Finland everytime Canada loses. Don't jump back on the bandwagon when Canada wins.

Not lost, no. But I think our chances of winning Gold went down by a fact of at least 2 after tonight.

Take five seconds to decide who to pass to before giving it away?

Then Canada wins (Because it's Germany), he reverses what he's doing, and Canada succeeds in all its important games.

Finland is deep? They're an entire team of NHL 2nd and 3rd liners! (And 2nd is being very generous in most cases).
Who is Sami Lepisto? Apparently he plays for the Coyotes.

Weird game, dominated by Canada, but they were undone by their veterans. Niedermeyer and Pronger were crap, and Brodeur thought it was a street hockey game. Very impressed with Doughty tonight, that kid has ridiculous vision and no panic in his game. I think Toews needs a more prominent role, he's dynamite on the boards and was the best forward for Canada. Bring on the Germans...
