A lot of chinese supermarkets have these. Not that brand. But the same idea. I freaking love them.
And thanks for all the ideas. I've got a list going. I don't think I can do any of the drinks until Christmas when he comes back up for the holidays. But the chips sound good.

We also brought back a couple of containers of Breyers that sell for $6-8 in Canada. We paid $2.50 each.
Six bucks for ice cream?! That's insane. I don't understand why food is so much pricier in Canada. I notice on commercials on Center Ice during Canadian games, the same things (I think from Taco Bell) that are 49 cents down here are 1.19 up there.
These types of threads are so interesting to me. I could go the rest of my life never going to Carls Jr or Jack in the Box and have no regrets. The only fast food restaurant I can't live without is El Pollo Loco. I'm pretty surprised the fast food places down here haven't tried to tap the Canadian market. Maybe they don't want to compete with Canadian fast food restaurants.
Oh yeah, Funyuns are awesome. I don't eat them that often because of the huge calorie hit, but once in a while, they're the perfect snack. Munchos are delicious as well, but hard to find.
hostess Pies as in the deep fried egg roll style dipped in a sugar glaze? Those were great when I was a kid. just thought of something they have that we dont, Pineapple Crush.
I am pretty sure that I saw Pineapple Crush as Superstore.
me too, there's also shrimp-flavoured chips and squid-flavoured rings, I eat at least 3 bags of these damn things every week.
As long as they're just flavoured though. Squid jerky and such are so not good.

Munchos are not chips. They've got a different texture than chips with them being lighter than chips but still crispy. Just get some next time you're at the grocery store to try. They are really good.
The Following User Says Thank You to GreenTeaFrapp For This Useful Post:
Munchos are potato "crisps" and I'm not sure they're made from thin potato slices. I suspect they might be created from dehydrated potatoes (similar to instant mashed potatoes) so they can be formed really thin. When they're cooked they get really airy and crispy and the texture is different from regular potato chips.
OMFG, I just checked these out. I think I might forever be in your debt for this discovery.

Apparently, before he discovered cookies, the Cookie Monster enjoyed Munchos:
