ok now i don't understand that. how is a blank better than scoring a point at the end of an end?

Blanking the end means you keep last rock and a chance to score higher points the next end.

Because you lose the hammer. In a lot of cases, trading last shot for one point is a bad deal, so teams prefer to blank the end and keep last shot in the hopes of scoring two or more in the next end.

because you should always try for 2 points at least. Why take one when you can keep last shot and go for 2 the next end

CTV couldn't wait until Hollingsworth had finished crying to shove a camera in her face?

I can see the merits in figure skating as an Olympic sport, but ice dancing is pretty stupid. I also dislike ballroom dancing as a sport.

Bernard not playing the best right now but leading 2-1. Bernard has always been a streaky curler and personally I would have rather seen Jones representing Canada

The skeleton is crazy! I would like to think at some point there was a bunch of lugers sitting around going "Ya know what, what we do is really dangerous but it just is not enough, let's make a new event and go down head first instead!" Crazy...

yeah i guess i've noticed it too.
it's either really cold in that curling rink or the Canadian white are really thin.

And why isn't Bernard wearing her jacket? she just want to show off her guns?

Great to see Jeff Pain go out with a good run. He's done a huge amount for the sport in this country.
