That was one of the strangest things I've ever seen. All of the announcers thought Chan sucked, Manley even said "my heart feels empty", and he gets first place so far with a huge score??
I think we rigged this one.

I really like Chan. That kid has his stuff together. He'll be a great role model in the future.

Juxtapose him with that Emmanual Sandu - So you think you can dance - nerd.

I really like Pelltier's colour commentary to be honest. He's calling it straight and saying where guys ahve been struggling coming in without sugar coating it.

And didn't they mention he's season best was ~140, and personal best ever was ~160 (or did I hear that wrong). Then he scores 160+, does seem a little weird.

I don't think the commentators thought he totally sucked, just didn't perform up to his potential. But certainly I think they were expecting abit lower scores than what he got.

Chan has got the goods, just needs the quad and to land his jumps and he's got a great shot at the gold next time around.

I will say his artistry and footwork were just awesome to watch, and he did score higher on those

Yeah, I think it was season best in the 130s. I guess that was his best skate of all time

Tough break for the Japanese skater. Looks like the laces blew up on his skate after that fall. Two point deduction. Poor kid.

Realistically does Chan have any shot hanging on for a bronze? I know Weir is still to come and its a given the Russian will be one or two...what do you guys think?

Everyone in front of Chan would have to MASSIVELY screwup for him to win anything. If Patrick had a clean free skate, he'd have a better shot abeit still somewhat of a long one.

Patrick will probably finish 6th now, which would still be pretty good.

Your opinion, I think Johnny is an awesome guy and certainly does not come off as a ###### bag like our Russian friend.

That game starts in about 10 -15 minutes and most likely would be on TSN/CTV. It will definitely be on after that Russian guy skates.
