U.S. does, but it's moot. The next game will decide it.

Canada's cough-ense vs. Ryan Miller.... gulp

game might not be the worst in the world

the road to the finals might be a little tougher but they faced adversity, which can only help in the future

some of the coaching decisions though... a little head scratching

Coach bashing aside Swiss played an amazing game and really capitalized on the few Canadian blunders in a big way.

Stars should be

Hiller
Martin

Nobody else stood out in any special way... well in a good way anyways.

I think Canada has to win in Regulation against the US to get the by, right?

Lucky to win a game that would not have even been in doubt if Canada didn't half-ass the second period. Guess what guys? This isn't an all-star game!

#1 seed is virtually guaranteed to be gone now. Even if we beat the US, this game just made our path through the quarter finals a hell of a lot more difficult.

It's one thing when you're an NHL team and have a handful of legitimate offensive players so it's normal to keep riding those guys. I can't understand why the coaching staff kept riding Getzlaf, Perry, Thornton, and Heatley when they were accomplishing so little when he's got a stable of talent at his disposal. I mean Toews with Crosby? Are you serious? He did nothing there in the third period. In a tight game where your "top guys" (except Crosby who was really good) aren't cutting it, go with your other top level players who actually play with a little sandpaper. Brutal stuff.

That game was embarassing. I won't be celebrating like I did the other night. Despite outshooting the Swiss, the entire team and coaching staff should be embarassed. The bench management was emabarassing in the 3rd.

Injured or not, Getzlaf was beyond terrible. I don't know what that guy's deal is but he sure did not look to be trying very hard out there. Regardless, you've got all these elite talents on the bench while he's going out every third shift.
