I understand the frustration Babcok has with the first line right now. Crosby isn't keeping his game simple, he needs to drive hard to the net and shoot it. Of course Iggy needs to sit if the line isn't producing which is complete BS. He has been the better of the 3 players. What would I do? Sit Crosby for a shift to get the msg accross and then play the hell out of him and the top line for the remainder of the game.

Unless he's hurt, its called stupid coaching.

Babcock is running with Niedermeyer who is playing pathetic, and Doughty makes one mistake and he's benched.

Dear Babcock:

Please quit throwing out the San Jose line so much. Yes they have chemistry and are great in the regular season but when have that group of players actually got it done when it counts?

Please put out Nash-Crosby-Iginla, which includes the best LW and RW on the team as well as the best young Canadian player in the game who also has a Stanley Cup. Oh yeah, and Iginla was 1 goal away from the Cup himself.

Seems like Nash-Crosby-Iginla is getting the 4th line ice time and they combined for 8 pts against Norway.

"Not much from Sidney Crosby's line." Yeah, cause Babcock won't put them out!!!

I still think they pull this out but it's just baffling! Morrow/Toews/Richards are put out there to get momentum after the goal... and Morrow takes a penalty.

Morrow has barely been out, it seemed as though Crosby was on less, I can;t remember seeing him on the powerplay at all

seriously what game are you watching Iginla set up Crosby 3 times. Crosby was 1 0n 1 with Hiller and tried to pass to Nash all 3 times.

As is, the game is tied, and the momentum is against them. This is not because of luck. It's because the Swiss are working much harder.
Is it because of their hard work that the majority of the play has been in their zone?

Ok so some armchair coaching here.....

They need to rotate left wingers with Crosby instead of right wingers. Richards, Toews, Morrow would be better than Bergeron.

Babcock's what have you done for me lately thoery is a big risk. You need to allow great players to great. Doughty hasn't had a chance since he screwed up. Crosby has played very little.

The old adage of "your best players have to be your best players" is still true even on Team Canada.

Crosby isn't playing well, he is being set up in prime shooting locations and every single time he is trying to make the fancy pass or fancy play. He has been the worst of the 3 on the top line thus far. He will get it going in the 3rd though.

The Getzlaf line has been the worst line in the game for TC, so I'm not sure what diane phaneuf is talking about.

He's a what have you done for me lately coach and since that gaff which led to the goal, he hasn't seen the ice. It's the same with Iggy, if he doesn't score, Babcock takes him off the top line and puts in someone else.

This 3rd period Babcock better play the Crosby line a ton.

Doughty didn't even really screw up. If you watch the play, he gets mauled by 3 players, one of which drapes both arms around him holding him in place as the other two breakaway from him.

International hockey is ghey.

You know you're pooched when you're relying on Joe Thornton and Dany Heatley to lead you to victory.

Funny Babcock doesn't play these stupid little head games with Detriot.
Its like he is trying to be the difference with his coaching instead of realizing who is the top line and who should get top ice time. Its baffling to me how Babcock is coaching.

But that wasn't his fault, He was pretty much tackled and held by a swiss guy while the puck went by. He was the best D in game one, I don't get it.

The shots are 27-17. Hopefully they can come out flying in the third and stop screwing up in their own end.

C'mon boys! A little test like this should (hopefully) improve them as a team...
