Personally, I don't see Bush going anywhere. Sure, he's due $8 million dollars next season, but that's due to him playing at a discount (for his draft position) for the past 4.
He's not the every game electric player I had hoped he would be, but he is vital to what the Saints do on offense. The ability to play in the backfield, in the slot, or out wide really keeps the defense on their toes, and he is always accounted for in the defensive scheme.
I think he likes New Orleans, and restructures his deal to stay in town. If he does move in a trade to Seattle, that #6 pick looks pretty good, but I'd take Lofa Tatupu as well...

This is shaping up to be the most interesting offseason in NFL history.
Guys like Bush, Wilfork, Peppers are interesting and the whole un-capped nonsense is going to be wild.
My Steelers will build through the draft as always. Looks like they will be letting Parker go which is great because he's not a number 1 guy, I mean thanks for the big run in the Superbowl in 06 but other than that BYE. Need to bring back big NT Hampton though!

There are still a few. I figured that kid's CP journey was coming to an end.
Stallworth signs with Baltimore for $900,000, with incentives.
Decent signing for them.

It's tag week in the NFL as I think teams have until the end of the week to decide if they're going to slap the franchise tag on players. A guy like Julius Peppers for example would be a three time tag player and have to get paid 20 million so he'll be destined for free agency. But a few other guys like Richard Seymour likely will have the tag put on them.

Rumours have circulated that the Niners have franchised Aubrayo Franklin.
This has been expected since the end of the season, Franklin has really played well. There are still hopes that they can sign him for longer term, but with the whole labour unrest that sort of thing seems tricky.
Unless you are the Raiders giving $16 Million to Janikowski for 4 more years. He's a good kicker, but $4 Million per season?

I wonder if the Chiefs will take a stab at Seymoour? If the Raiders don't franchise him of course. Pioli seems to get a hard on for Patriots players. Recently Pioli and Clark Hunt have stated they are not interested in overpaying for UFAs, which is normally the case. Wonder if he can control himself when it comes to Seymour?

I can't see the Raiders not making a strong effort to sign Seymour since they traded a 2011 first round pick for him. Given the speculation that there will be a rookie cap after this year those 2011 picks carry a lot of value.

They just had Franklin on NFL radio. I think the tag number for a Tackle is 7 million per year and given how rare nose tackles are, I think they will put the tag on him but try to get a long term deal done.
The NFC West could be pretty open this year and if the Niners can win just one more game, it might be enough to win the Division.

Yeah, the Niners have been planning to apply the tag to him for a while. But reading a bit more from the beat writers the Niners want to see him put together back to back years before they give him the big long term contract. He is 30 years old and undersized for a traditional NT in a 3-4 so they want to see what happens when the other teams scheme for him a bit more. If he can handle that then he will get a longer term contract offer.

Ravens Ink Stallworth to 1-year deal. Good signing as they ZERO depth at WR.

The trial of Willie Clark, who is accused of murdering Broncos CB Darrent Williams on New Year's Eve 2006, is getting going in Denver this week.
A Denver Post article hints that the events of that evening may have everything to do with what has happened with Brandon Marshall over the last 3 seasons. Interesting theory and it makes a bunch of sense. I don't think there is any denying that the murder destroyed Javon Walker the person and the football player. It's not too much of a stretch to assume it has impacted other players as well.

I saw that on the weekend. Makes a bunch of sense. I would not want to live or work in a city if I was scared for my life.

Chargers have just release Ladainian Tomlinson. Great player, but running backs at a certain age with some mileage on them no longer are productive. At this point he could be a good veteran leader for someone, but if he wants to be the feature back, he'll have to play for a bad team.

I'm happy with the RB situation in Denver. Knoshon should progress this year, and the O line will get a revamp to accommodate the move to a power running scheme. Tomlinson (I refuse to call him LT, LT was a linebacker for the Giants) would be a good fit in Philly. They need a short yardage back desperately. Wouldn't be surprised to see Westbrook go this off season either.
