I say good on ya Jeremy and best of luck in the future.

You're right I'm just upset.

Between downhill and this it's been a rough day.

Our media really needs to stop building up these guys who don't have a shot.

The media builds them up because they DO have a shot. The field of competition is so deep however that nothing is guaranteed. The difference between 1st and 9th in this race was only 0.462 seconds. Between 1st and 38th, it was 4.75 seconds. Think about that, that's incredible.

Yeah the events like speed skating are so nerve racking because we see people get the lead but you know there's still a bunch more people to go and the best are always at the end.

It's stressful.

^^But they still take the lead (for now). Their routine was more difficult though and they had the better score coming into tonight.
Most of the pairs have been falling and stumbling around tonight though. It's still bizarre to me to watch a pair/skater fall around and still manage to get high technical marks. I watch it a lot, but there's still a lot I don't understand about figure skating.

So Canada finishes 6th (Dube and Davison) and 9th (Langlois and Hay) in the Pairs Figure Skating.
China taking the Gold and Silver positions.

Except the young Chinese team screwed up their short program while the old Chinese team had a record breaking short yesterday. |

True, but even in the long program the score was 141.81 to 139.91.
Two point difference isn't that much when the scores are doubled and the old Chinese missed an entire lift!
