Tough break, but I don't think you can fault him too much for letting up a bit. Even the commentators were saying that he had it in the bag and he just had to race cleanly down the rest of the track. Sucks that it turned out the way it did, but can you imagine how terrible it would have been if he'd kept going all-out and then fell?

I think you can look at that race two ways. Robertson was in the lead and couldn't afford to screw up, while the american dude was last and had to really push it to try and win, especially with his buddy out. The american guy may have raced very aggressively just to try and catch up.

Just watch what happens if Luongo is playing for Canada. You might actually see people wanting him to play terrible so he gets pulled.

I'd rather him kept it conservative and medal'd, rather than keep going balls to the walls and have a chance of hitting an edge. That's all it takes after all, your board hits a rut in the ice the wrong way and your down.

Second is the final.

No, Wotherspoon is ranked pretty low on the world rankings this year. Jamie Gregg is the top ranked Canadian at 10th place.

Just to comment, the various networks seem to be placing a lot of pressure on Wotherspoon with all the talk of redemption and stuff, it seems like they are really setting people up for disappointment here.

Not true, they do add the two times together. Apparently there is an advantage to starting in either the inside or outside lane, not sure which, so they run two races to even that up (each racer runs one race starting in each lane).

Hey my former starcraft buddy, Mike Ireland is coming up in pair 9. I can't believe he is still skating.

Yeah you are right. They just mentioned it, my bad. And the inner lane is the one most prefer.

Snooze. It's just not interesting with the lack of parity in the round robin. Canada-USA are the only teams with a chance (Sweden can contend as well).

Interesting, do you know the reasoning? I would have thought the outer lane would be preferable as there is the opportunity to draft your opponent on the back stretch, plus you will be behind your opponent which could push you to go faster, maybe?

Maybe a mogulers thigh (50% bigger quads). They had a cool medical commercial thing during Jenn Heil's run.
