Default The Knack lead singer Doug Fieger dies

My Sharona, whether you liked it or not, was one of those songs that will live forever. 6 weeks at #1 during the disco heyday.

Best pop-rock song EVER....and as it is often referred to as 'The Song that Killed Disco' it should be held in high regard by music fans across the spectrum!

The Knack like so many bands of the time were sort of a strange mix of punk/pop/rock and really couldnt be lumped into any one category exclusively.

Lot of fun music though and caught the aura of that particular time quite well. Seemed like it was a bridge from the 70's rock and punk eras into what became a weird 80's with new wave etc coming into vogue after the death of disco.
