Default City-wide Blackout?

Anyone just had a complete blackout in their neighbourhood? Looks like North Calgary got hit first, the West just had a 20 minute blackout.

I'm in the NW. Went to take a whizz, and the lights flickered, then went off, but came right back on again. The TV went crazy and the PVR shut off and reset etc. Internet was down. Watched TV on regular cable (not digital) and worked fine. Internet was back in 20 mins or so. The clocks in the house all stayed on, which is unusual for a blackout, I found.

There was a blackout in Lethbridge on a large chunk of the southside, including the Ramada and shopping area behind it. May have even hit the Enmax Center. Luckily the 'Canes/Hitmen game was long done when the outage hit... at least I assume so.

Fata I suppose. Someone was complaining about it a while earlier.

Hmm I'm in Lethbridge very close to Ramada and didn't notice a thing.

Yep, had a two pager all written up and was just about ready to hit the cpuck post button when zap, there she goes. I tried to swap plugs with my still alive UPS in the dark to get the monitor back on and ended up pulling out the puter plug and bye bye went my sweet post. Next time I will be ready, I now have the monitor and the puter power supply plugged into the UPS!

I was driving to the southside Wal-Mart from the North-Side Walmart, and I went 43rd Street. As I got onto Scenic Drive all the lights went out. The cops were already at Scenic and Mayor Magrath directing traffice. As far as I could tell It went from 43rd to 20th street. I couldn't tell how far North it went. On my way back I went up 20th Ave. and It was light up. I didn't pay close attention but I assume everything south of 20th Ave was out of power, up to Scenic.
