You must've got your mortgage in about 2002.. a HUGE reason I moved was cost of living. It's amazing how much easier life is at practically half that cost.

The boom really borked Calgary in my opinion.

I have a hard time believing that Calgary is ahead of Auckland, Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide. All I can think of is that it is relatively safe from crime and disasters, and the economy is still above average for the job market. Other than that, we should be receiving an epic failure in infrastructure, public transit and weather.

Saturday afternoon I'm sitting on a patio in Las Vegas drinking beer, sunny and 20 C. Saturday night I'm scraping ice off my windshield, foggy and -7 C.
