i like Manning but you always get the impression that he is quick to blame others, even when he was talking to the reciever after the pick, not a fan of him or his brother when they have that sulky look on their faces.. Sometimes you just make a bad throw

I've already had a few of those "bandwagon" comments throughout he season. I have no problem rattling off my "Why are you a Saints fan?" story.

Personally, I'm already a bit tired of the "Colts lost the Super Bowl, Saints didn't win" crowd.

Ya it's funny that people can't believe that Manning lost, he's 9-9 in the playoffs folks. Lots of media now blaming Reggie Wayne for the Porter interception, rather than recognizing an amazing play.

Bandwagon Saints fans??? Hell has frozen over

I still find it weird that you can actually buy Saints merchandise in actual stores, when I had to special order everything up until the drafting of Reggie Bush.

Porter read the play, Manning didn't see him and Porter jumped the route. Simple as that, it was just a great play by a CB. Sharper has been doing that from the Safety position all season long - the Saints secondary was built to be ball-hawks.

Me too, I've heard it a few times. It's why I've been rocking the Colston jersey this week, instead of Bush or Brees, which probably a non-fan would buy. I'm trying to distinguish myself from them haha.

And who in the blue hell is saying the Colts lost instead of the Saints winning?? What a joke. Ya that drive-killing drop in the 2nd quarter sucked. But Marques Colston did the EXACT same thing in the first quarter when it was still 3-0, and the Saints would've been first and 10 on the Colts side of the field. Instead they punted, and Indy got a TD on the ensuing drive. How is that any different than the Colts drop? I could see how Minny fans could make that complaint...but the Colts? Come on. After that 1st quarter I felt the Saints took that game over.

Biggest complaint I've heard was the non call on Will Smith for blocking Manning in the back on the Porter return.

You know, this one that clearly shows Smith with his hands on Manning's shoulder before #18 turns away from the play...

Once you are engaged in a block, if the player turns away and gives you his back it is not a block in the back. Especially when a player is going away from pursuit.

Honestly, I thought it was a very well officiated game. They "let them play" which is what we as hockey fans all desire in big games.

My next jersey will be #77, Mr. Pancake Carl Nicks.

I can't believe only 11 people showed up to greet the Colts back from the Superbowl. That's what we call bandwagon and poor loser fans!

Ha Ha I know. I have run into this a few times myself, belief it or not, cheering for the Chiefs over the years when the Chiefs have had a 9-0 start to the season. People that don't know me will mention some thing along the lines of jumping on the Chiefs band wagon. I just laugh and say "yeah, big band wagon, the team hasn't won a playoff game since 1993 and hasn't won or played in the Super Bowl since 1970".

Not being accused of being on any band wagon now days. Can't find any Chiefs gear any where though. Even Great Falls used to carry a decent amount of Chiefs gear. Not anymore.

I got the same thing. I told them I guess I did jump it in 1988. When the Chiefs played the Cowboys earlier this year I had to drive up to Kelowna as my wife needed some maternity clothes so I was wandering around to all the stores with T.V's. People couldn't believe there was still a such thing as a Chiefs fan.

So for the Saint fans, I know most of you guys have been pretty vocal for the last 3 or 4 years here. Enjoy it.

Bandwagon Saints fans? I think most people have always had a soft spot in their hearts for the Saints, even before Katrina.

I don't think there were many Colts fans outside of Indiana until Manning arrived. Now, they are everywhere.

Similiar to New England with Brady. Even CP was full of Pats fans a couple years ago. Where have they all gone?

There are probably a few old school types from the Baltimore and Johnny Unitas days. But when the team picked up and shipped off to Indy I think that angered a lot of them.

But yeah from 83 to 98 I can't imagine too many were jumping that band wagon. I mean Jeff George didn't exactly have a huge following.

Don't know, but I followed the Pats (and Browns) longer than most of you have been alive.

Casual fans tend to gravitate to the glamour teams.

Sean Payton's Testicles named Super Bowl Co-MVP's:
http://www.sportspickle.com/article:...r-bowl-co-mvps

Quote:
Despite being smaller than every player on the field at just 140 pounds apiece, Payton's testicles proved the difference in the game by calling for an onside kick to open the second half. This after going for it on 4th-and-goal -- and failing -- late in the second half.

Saints were in the NFC West for a long time so there was rarely a soft sport for Saints with Niner fans. Heck, the 49ers even got Ricky Jackson his Superbowl victory in '94.

The Colts are a bit weird, with their whole Baltimore history they have a rich past so I'm sure there have always been a core of fans, but the whole "leaving town in the middle of the night" soured a lot of that support.
