Do you think everyone that has a tattoo is just a wannabe rock star? Did you ever think that some people just like tattoos and don't have any aspirations of being a rock star at all?
Heres a pic of ol' Georgie with a Run DMC shirt on.
Does this make George Strombolopolis the definition of a poseur because:
a) he's not a rapper
b) he's not in Run DMC
c) he's not black
Don't get me wrong, I like the Run DMC shirt it just seems like a little pot calling the kettle black is all.

Yeah it really does. Seems like an odd quote from George. He's got his nose pierced and tends to wear a lot of, I guess, 'goth/rock' inspired clothing (lots of black, leather wrist band, etc.) Seems like his image just totally screams that he wants to be a rocker too. Weird. And I actually kind of like the guy.

To be fair, he was the VJ for a rock/punk/metal show on Much Music.
So he kind of is a rocker.

Being a fan of a band at one moment in time and wearing its shirt is not the same as turning yourself into an etch-a-sketch. You can easily switch shirts if you want but getting a tattoo is pretty much permanent.

If you want to make a backhanded comment (etch-a-sketch) about your distaste for tattoos, fine. Just dont quote my post to get your comment in.
The question I was posing was does George have any right to be calling someone else a poseur.
He's not a rock star, yet strives to look like one. Doesn't have the talent to become a rockstar so he chooses professions that get him close to that scene. Isn't that what a poseur is?
And if it wasn't pointed out already kids, tattoos are pretty much permanent.

I find it hard to see George saying that about tattoos. Maybe taken out of context by the person posting it who clearly is against tattoos??
If not, George is the last person who should say something like that. I like the guy, but he is a poser if I've ever seen one. Tries extremely hard to pull off a certain image and tries equally as hard to be that guy who's into everything/gets along with everyone.
