Hello all, I'd like to get a bunch of hard maple candy here in Calgary. I'd prefer to get it in store rather than ship it in. But most places I see them are souvenir stores and they're pricey for not very much. I'm hoping to get lots to ship out to friends. Any help you can give me would be appreciated. Oh, and here's a picture.
Edit: Looking at this picture gives me a serious craving right now.

No ideas except friends, huh? And holy shiz, if I got my hands on some maple candy, I might actually end up looking like that. Wired off the wall.

Location: In a land without pants, or war, or want. But mostly we care about the pants.
Exp:
Those appear to be hard candies, not the fudge-like stuff I've seen before. I looked online for bulk, but it's definitely not cheap no matter where you get it from, or so it seems - probably because real maple syrup isn't cheap either. Unless 1 kilo for $30 comes across as "cheap"...

Is there one in Calgary? I don't think I've heard of it.

Yeah, it's the hard candies that I really want. The fudge stuff is mashy. And it probably is the fact that real maple syrup is pricey.

Those are the very same candies I used in my wedding favours in England. It was my "Canadian Touch" to our wedding in September of 2008. I bought them in Calgary before I moved to England.
The ones I bought were from the souvenier section (if you can call it that) in Zellers at Sunridge Mall. I don't remember how much I paid for them, but I do remember that it was a much better price than souvenier shops or online. They still weren't cheap, but better than the alternative.
Also, the ones I had were individually wrapped, but they are the very same candies.
I hope that helps.

I will definitely check out Zellers. And yes, they should be individually wrapped, this is just one of those pics to make them look good. I got addicted to these things on my trip to Quebec, just sucks how much more expensive they are out here.
For anyone else looking for them, I know for sure the Glenbow gift shop has them.

I've also been told to check the Bay. So... If anyone spots any, let me know!

So I bought a 140g bag for 5.49 at Zellers. Obscenely expensive. But omg, soooo good.
