Tuner Set V1.03 & Roster Update 7
The new tuner set for NHL 10 has gone live as well a new roster update with some rating updates.
Highlights of the update include:
-Increased variation in goalie positioning
-Rebounds directed further to the side of the net
-Small reduction in goalie reaction times, top speed and acceleration
-Increase in screen effect on goalies (online only)
-Reduced post-whistle time (online only)
-Decreased effectiveness of the pass block (LB/L1) at taking the puck away
-Increased frequency of deflections (EASHL/OTP only)
-Prevent CPU defenders from being easily lured into hooking penalties in EASHL/OTP games
-Improved ability to intercept weak passes
-For EASHL/OTP, the range of the some of the attribute effects has been increased

What still drives me insane are goalies making passes to teammates always go through. Even if I'm standing right in the middle of the goalie and the defender, it's nearly impossible to pick off. But I suppose it helps to cut down on whistles.

Well as it stands now I traded Keets away for a 2nd or 3rd round pick to whoever...don't remember and signed Shantz to a 3 year I think it was, lil less than his "auto offer number"
sent down McE to the Heat, and he is still there scratched, so I should try to move him up the the NHL team? see if he gets picked up?
if not just keep sending him up and down until he gets picked up or the end of his contract?

You can try that or trade him for a late round pick. Or you can just buy him out at the beginning of the year.

If you're connected to live when you enter the game menu, the tuner update notification should be showing and you'll just have to press X to download it. Then save you settings afterwards to make sure it sticks.

Any idea on a new roster update, so we can play online with the updated Flames roster?

No evidence, but I would have to assume they'd try to get one out before the olympic break.

as weiser mentioned, thats not an option for online.
i rarely play online but a few of my friends have got the game recently and i have been playing them. i dislike the current wings lines and try to change them as quickly as possible before the game. but i often just make a few major changes and then proceed as i hate to make people wait.

Me too, I always play as the Flames and at one point they stuck Iginla on the second line. Had to change it every time or have Sjostrom playing a third of the time.

I hate to make comparisons to EHM, but I really wish the EA series was better at the off ice stuff. And I wish customer roster updates could somehow be made available, so that up and coming players in real life organizations could be included.

I agree 100%. Overall though, I don't know why EA would even do that. People like you or me would love it. The mass audience who buys the game doesn't care. Just more costs for EA that they won't get back.
I haven't played NHL 10 for at least 2 months. Haven't used my Xbox Live for 4 months. What a waste of $$ i put into Xbox Live so far. I don't use it much, but I pay for it every year.
I've only ever bought sports games since the 360 came out. Never even played any COD or Halo, etc in my life.
Anybody got some good games I should try that are good online?

So can anyone give me a step-by-step instruction on how to manually update my Flames roster to reflect the recent changes?
I go to MY NHL > ROSTERS >
but nothing happens when I click on Jokinen. I'm on a 360.. what do I have to do now to get Higgins and Kotalik onto my roster?

You could start with COD and Halo... those are the 2 most vital games to get for the Xbox or any console.
What kind of games are you into?
I know a lot of people like RPG and those games like Oblivion/Mass Effect but I get bored to death playing them. I like my shooters and sports games.

There is a new roster update that was released on Feb 09. It has the new flames on the roster.
