What a great 3rd set that was. Murray had a 5-2 lead but couldn't close it out and Federer wins 7-6 in a very long tiebreak(13-11). 16 grand slam titles now for Federer. The best tennis player ever.

Pretty easy match for Federer. If Murray would have played like he did in the third set this would have been 4-5 sets. I think Murray will end up winning a major later down the road but this is Federer's era.

Pretty cool moment there with Murray speaking. You can see the pressure he has to win this championship not just for him but a whole nation. I hope he is the guy that breaks that long streak.

Andy breaks down at the trophy ceremony.

Seriously I don't understand how tournament organizers expect the runner up to make a speech after hard fought matches. I had no problem when Federer broke down last year, or Nadal at Wimby 07. It just seems so painful to have to face the crowd right away.

Only Nadal matches up well against Federer. I hope he can return to a healthy season and regain his form. Im sure Federer doesn't mind this as it means his main rival is out of his way for now...

Right, and I guess that is why Murray is 6-5 lifetime against Federer.

before making a smart ass comment, tell me how many times more has murray played federer in a grand slam final compared to nadal, and tell me who has the winning record in these MEANINGFUL games?? 5-2 compared to 0-2. right is right tough guy.

I just don't think we can blame the fact that Nadal cannot reach the finals of a slam on Roger.

If I had a choice when I was developing my game for these two options:
1) Lose to 1 guy, beat 500 others
2) Beat 1 guy, lose to 50 others (big hitters with good backhands), even with the rest

I would chose #1 every time. Nadal just happens to be that one guy, and it's clear that even when he is on, he struggles to make QF's and SF's. I'm actually very interested to see how Nadal recovers and plays on clay.
