As long as we are discussig red-heads, when I was a kid I used to carry a big torch for Lea Thompson. I know she isnt un-attractive (as per the op intent) but she is not obvious hot either. I just looked her up on Google for the first time in years, thanks to this thread, and she is still very plow-able at 50.
Along the same lines I would also like to nominate Amy Grant.

I don't think she's unattractive, but I don't see anything special about Megan Fox, or Angelina Jolie for that matter, not saying they're ugly, but I don't find them special. That may have had no relevance to this thread, but oh well.
