Yes, your format sounds sort of like Halifax Drunk's old movie screenshot contests. I'm in.

So what will stop everyone from just googling every question given?

Sure I'm in. If there's no prizes and no real pride on the line I can't imagine anyone cheating otherwise it just wouldn't be fun.

so I have to come up with ten trivia questions then:

1-What condiment was originally sold in the 1830s as medicine?

2-Where did miners in the 1849 California Gold Rush send their laundry to get cleaned because it was cheaper than in California?

3-Where did the terms 'upper case' and 'lower case' letters come from?

4-What does the red 'spot' on the 7-UP logo signify or allude to?

5-Who voiced the original Shaggy from Scooby-Doo?

6-What was killed when the Allies dropped their first bomb on Berlin in WWII?

7-What classic novel accurately describes the size and speed of rotation of the two moons of Mars...about one hundred years before they were actually discovered?

8-What has the right of way on all Utah highways?

9-Who won the first Star Search in the spokesmodel category?

10-What book holds the record for being the most stolen book from public libraries?

pm answers to me before 8:00 a.m. Friday

I withdraw from the PM trivia contest, still interesting to read the questions and answers though.

only one response, this thread may be dead. Troutman, you win. Answers are: 1-Ketchup, 2-Honolulu, Hawaii, 3-early typesetters standard process was to keep all typeset plates for capital letters in a case on a higher shelf and the small letter typeset plate in a second case on a lower shelf, thus upper case and lower case, 4-inventor of 7-UP was an albino and it was his homage to all albinos (red dot signifies red eyes), 5-Casey Kasem, 6-an elephant in the Berlin zoo, 7-Gulliver's Travels, 8-Birds (I know, stupid), 9-Sharon Stone, 10-Guinness Book of World Records
