Default Missles over Newfoundland??

Quote:
Residents of a small coastal Newfoundland community are wondering if several objects shaped like "huge, oversized bullets" seen soaring through the sky on Monday evening were missiles.

Can't wait for the official explanation on this one. Looks like possibly someone 'forgot' to mention a missile test to the Canadian Government.

I bet it's the damn Ruskies. No way the Canadian military has the capabilities to launch even a bottle rocket.

It could be the M51, seems like a pretty extreme downrange test, and it would definitely be something that the government shouldn't be happy about if it was unannounced.

Looks like this is what it is... the French probably launched a few of these from around St. Pierre et Miquelon.

Leave it to the Newfies to call this an "over sized bullet"

Seriously, this is a camera phone pic of the object, maybe it's just me but even the dumbest of dumb wouldn't call this a bullet...no?

Wow, the French still have those tiny island that is literally a swim away from NFLD? And their Navy is firing missiles?

Canada should have invaded them back in WWII when they were supporting the Nazi controlled Vichy government in France!

Considering it's French, I am surprised it's not waving a white flag as it passes.
