Default Montreal To Begin 2010 CFL Season With Three Road Games?

Quote:
The Als, according to the executive, would begin the season July 1, at Saskatchewan, in a Grey Cup rematch. They would then continue on to Edmonton and conclude the road trip in British Columbia.

The schedule last year was released on the 3rd of February and I'm hoping it it is that quick again.

I'm going to try and catch a game at Empire Fields this summer.

Maybe this is because of the renos they are doing @ Molson Stadium?

Crappy way to treat the fans of the Grey Cup Champion team though. Depending on when they get their bye, it could be 4 weeks before fans in MTL would get to see their team.

true, at least they are doing the traditional Grey Cup rematch to start, but ideally it should be in Montreal

Doesn't it say right in the attached article that it was most likely due to Molson Stadium renos and cited poor construction reliability in Montreal as being a reason to make sure there is enough cushion before the first home game?

Does anybody care that much about The Als? I hope they are tired and run down from that start and can never quite recover... Gotta use those scheduling glitches to our advantage!!

Except that now 5000 more fans can attend per game. The sched is just a side effect.
