The Jets are not the Saints through the air. It's a lot easier to hold a teams running game down when they have no passing game. Not the case with the Saints.

Classic game ruined by terrible officiating. That was CFL level incompetence by the refs in OT.

MIN was lucky to be in the game after being minus 4 in turnovers. NO was lucky they won the coin toss.

I want to see the Saints win the Superbowl, if only to prove everything can rebuilt, spirit and all, after Katrina.

Horrible officiating but we will take it! Great for my favorite city where I vacation every year, kinda my home away from home.

Congrats to the Saints on making it to the Superbowl. A tough loss for the Vikings. Favre could have ended it in regulation had he ran rather then try to throw the ball across the field to a guy who was well covered.
I like our chances in the Superbowl. It should be a good one!

Yes, I think this makes it an interesting game. I have to think the Miami crowd will be pro-Saints.

My eyes aren't too good - was that Roberto Favre out there? Flopping, playing dead, then coming out for the next series every time.

Casual NFL fan here, and I can't get past how they do Overtime. Each team should be guaranteed at least 1 possession. They basically decided the game on a coin toss.

Oh and with it being a Colts-Saints Superbowl I hope the media is quiet about resting starters in future regular season games because you are not on a hot streak. Both the Colts and the Saints debunked that myth.

Tell that to Green Bay.
(not sure how casual you are, GB lost on the first possession in overtime after winning the coin toss in the wildcard round)

GOAT!

This is the worst part about the whole thing: Instead of people appreciating a 40 year old legendary HOFer having a CAREER SEASON (statistically), all anyone is going to care about is one poor decision at the end. Not to mention, the only reason they were even in the position to throw the ball in the first place, was because of some bonehead coming out into the huddle (a la Saskatchewan's too-many-men call in the Grey Cup).
Cue the, "I told you he wasn't going to accomplish anything..." comments.

Absolutely brutal reffing. No way that was a pass interference. No way did they make that first down. At least the top two regular season teams will play for it all.

Actually, there should've been one on the play Favre got hurt on. That call your referring to was the right call. You can't bulldog a QB and drive him into the ground.

Oh i would say that the running backs and receivers that put the ball on the ground 6 times may have had something to do with it as well.

The one year I don't pay attention to the NFL and my Colts make it to the Superbowl. haha
I don't know who to cheer for though. The Colts are my team, but I would love for New Orleans to win. Whom ever wins I'll be happy, this is going to be an excellent game.

right...because 2 weeks of Manning will be so much better.
Why do people constantly blame the player for media overkill? Just weird.

Does that happen often? It seems like a system where the team winning the coin toss would win 90%+ of the games, true?
