If they have now proven clearly that they intend to violently target minorities, yes.

I don't know what specific action may be taken, but like any other gang, just leaving them alone doesn't seem the best course of action to me.

Especially when you notice PyramidsofMars started a thread a mere 3 weeks ago saying he didn't think Calgary was a racist city. Between then and now though, apparently things have escalated so badly that it has become "a bit too much".

woah boy, I never said Calgary was a racist city. We are talking about ONE street gang which poses a threat to individuals, especially minorities. They are to be treated as any other street gang, not as a reflection of Calgary. THEIR activity has become 'a bit too much'.

Kind of off track here, but we hear all this stuff about the "Aryan Guard"... But, correct me if im wrong, isn't there a large KKK organization around Calgary in one of the small towns? I remember hearing about it... Which if true shouldnt they be more of a threat then this measly little group of racist wana be skinhead teenagers?

Also, is there any Aryan Brotherhood in Calgary, or Canada for that matter?

So if parents don't know, how are the police supposed to crack down on all these supposed neo-nazis. Perhaps the police should just use the time tested policy of arresting someone when a crime is actually committed, like in this instance.

right. I can't really disagree.

When I first heard of this and saw their web page, my first reaction was a comparison that may piss some people off- so don't read ahead if you're easily offended. Mind, I'm not accusing the CPS of partisanship whatsoever, just wondering if they're taking this threat seriously enough.

The hypothetical situation that popped into my head was this:

What if the Calgary Muslim Council posted a message on their website saying "the enemies of our religion shall die in a pool of their own filthy blood" and "non-believers have no place on Allah's earth", and a few days later an associate of theirs attacked a man outside a church, would the CPS really just arrest that man and not take any further action?

I think I would be worried if the Calgary Muslim Council uttered those threats, much like I'm worried about this lot. The CPS seems to be treating them like any other gang, the problem is that while other gang violence may result in the death of innocent bystanders, other gangs don't TARGET innocent bystanders on the basis of their skin color.

I remember my social teacher in high school always talking about a town called Caroline, and a large group of KKK members living there. Although, I can't remember if she was talking about the town itself, or if this group was just near there in their own "compound".

I remember a train ride with 2 skinheads dressed head to toe in what you'd expect, club jackets, leather, spikes, swastika patches, etc.

They were discussing looking for work, getting pamplets downtown from job agencies.

What did they expect looking like that? Not to mention, the very much multi-ethnic train car including myself was looking uncomfortable with these guys.
