Death
All are classics, and they can be changed around based on what is going on. Any song from any of these albums when my Ipod randomly picks one is always great.

Kill em all has my favorite song, Horsemen
Puppets has my favorite instrumental, Orion, although Call of Ktulu on S&M is awesome as well
Justice has the best epic song, One
I can't really pick a favorite. Love them all.

1b Puppets
2 Justice
3 Kill 'em all
All the stuff that came after Justice isn't really Metallica for me. It's not all entirely horrible and I don't hate it, but it's just not the same band.
Death Magnetic was a good step back in the right direction though.

That EP actually introduced me to a genre of music I didn't really know much about. One of the best cover tune EPs/albums out there....

Metallica only ever made 4 albums:
Kill em All
Master of Puppets
Ride the Lightning
...And Justice for All
They should sue themselves for trademark infringement for all the rest of the stuff released after the first four cuz it aint Metallica.

Listen to Death Magnetic with an open mind and your opinion will change.

Mine too.
As for the poll as far as traditional studio albums go, my vote is most definitely for
Ride The Lightning .
BUT...there finest performance will always be S&M. Holy frreaking crap S&M was awesome, and Hetfield actually learned how to sing. I was really disappointed with their live show in Calgary a few years back. He sounded like a coked-out 12 year old when on S&M he sounded 100X bigger than Satan!

I listened to the clips above. Not bad. Might have to put it into the rotation.
Still, its hard to listen to any of their new stuff with an open mind after watching their movie...
