My PC broke yesterday morning.
Since I am the only PC user in my company, they had an extra Mac lying around.
So I am currently using a Mac, not too bad but my world is upside down from being a PC user since I can remember.
But I have Tiger as the OS and I'm in love with this dashboard feature, that has real time weather, time and I currently have the ESPN widget that has real time sports tidbits.
I don't really like ESPN's cause it's mostly useless information to me.
There's scoreboard widget but it's pretty useless when I'm using my computer 9-5 cause there is rarely any games on at that time.

Anybody know of maybe a tsn or sportsnet widget or a nhl widget that I can use.
Does anybody use a good sports one??

Cool stuff, eh?

Unfortunately, there seem to be almost no widgets at all from Canadian programmers. This country seems to have decided that Windows is the only OS worth writing for. There isn't even a Canadian tax program that's compatible with OS X, as I found out to my disgust earlier this year.

The only hockey-related widgets listed at apple.com are the NHL Lockout Counter and the NHL Game On! Counter. Neither of which is particularly useful, since we know the lockout is over and exactly when the season will start. However, new widgets are appearing every day, so we Mac-using hockey fans can still hope.

Thanks JR,

I guess I'm stuck with ESPN then.
Oh well my company has ordered me a new PC.
But I think I may just have both the Mac and PC going at the same time.
Being a web developer couldn't hurt to make sure that both Platforms are covered.
So hopefully come October they have a good NHL widget that is actually useful.
Or even a better Sports widget.

Apparently they're pretty easy to program... I haven't tried, though. If there's some sort of XML feel of hockey scores, I bet someone on here could whip up a decent little widget.

I too am waiting for some hockey related widgets.

If your company has any more extra macs you can slide one my way. You can never have to many. If you need any help with the learning curve, ask away.
